Enchanted pools? (hint, not spoiler plz!)

I finished the game once but never found a bunch of stuff. Enchanted pools being the big one.

If possible, can someone give me a hint without spoilers? Or maybe I just need to go deeper underground?

You just need to search for them. They don't have a green "?"

I just ran into my first one (won't spoil it but ...). I hit it building my base only a couple Z levels down. Didnt show on the map and I accidentally tunneled into it.

It can show up on various levels. Sometimes it's just a couple of tiles big, sometimes it's larger. And sometimes you've got tunnels leading into some big cavern where the Pool lies, sometimes it's hidden away in a small room without anything connecting to it.
