Report a translation problem
For example, undead require corpses in a grave to create. The only way you'll get a corpse in your dungeon is getting attacked. If you don't have orcs/orgres to defend, then your keeper will likely die and you won't get to use undead anyway. Not to mention it costs stone to make graves so you need to research as well.
As for prisoners, you also have to be attacked and have a prison and it's still very rare that they get captured. Once you have them you can torture them for mana until they die. You can't put them to work.
Maybe once the game gets a more "sandbox" mode it will be easier to do these things, but the game is still recieving a lot of work from the dev so who knows.
