Feminist groups are trying to ban the game

In a quick search about the game on Reddit, I saw at least 4 feminist reddits with posts begging members to report this game to Steam.
I found this hilarious as hell, these people can no longer tell the difference between what is real and what is a game.
Let's see if Steam will bend the knee to these senseless demands, I don't think they will.

You've never played an adult game in your life, have you? One thing that is required is to state that all characters are 18+ and everything in the game is consensual, regardless of the plot. Japan does it all the time and stuff gets really crazy in those games.

My family members are characters in a videogame? I was going to joke about antis not knowing the difference between fiction and reality, but it's actually more like your group believes that fiction is *more* real than reality, very strange. You're right that fictional characters can't consent though, because fictions aren't people in the first place. They aren't moral agents. They don't have thoughts, beliefs, or bodies, they are unembodied narrative fragments that exist only within the context of the story they inhabit.

I will emphasize this very strongly: They. Are. Not. Real.

I think we're all wasting our time really. I made my point and I think a lot of us here did. It isn't about this game for me, it doesn't look all that great. I may give it a half hour and see if it goes anywhere. But there's other games in this genre I'd rather be playing like Rance 03 which is actually really fun as far as JRPG's go. It's just that we can't give them any room, because then people will want to ban other games, you know, games that have been up here for many years. Might this lead to Postal 4 or even 2 getting banned again? Boy, that would be silly. But that's why it is important to state your argument that this media should exist for those who can enjoy it responsibly. If whiskey makes you a rough person, probably shouldn't drink whiskey. If this game makes you want to hurt someone, I don't want you playing it. But "we don't ban steak because a baby can't chew it" - Mark Twain.

I disagree that it shouldn't be allowed. It has just as much a space as any other piece of fiction. But just as I'm not in a hurry to watch A Serbian Film, it's not for everyone. The game is for the audience that enjoys this kind of material. Simply put. Not every person who looks at this stuff thinks that we should harm people. That's really, really foolish. It also shows severe mental issues that stem likely from other things and need to be addressed clinically. There's some very rough heavy metal songs out there. But I look at the lyrics and laugh about it. I go on about my day. I think to myself, "I know someone won't take this seriously" and most people don't. There's a move called Dead Girl. Never watch it. But I've watched it and said, "yeah, that's effed up and silly." A lot of grindhouse movies like that. Even the plot here sounds grindhouse."A man gets angry and rapes his whole family" Well, damn. That' s kinda silly now, isn't it? I mean, I should hope no one does that in real life. I think we just have to look at this stuff with a logical frame of mind. One person can look at a knife and see it as something to cut food with, another can look at it as a stabbing implement. If we look at this game for how over the top it is, then we don't necessarily judge it as serious matter.

What we should judge though are those who may see a negative effect from it. Aside from teenagers who have no business playing this material and their brains are still developing, I think most people are okay with it. It's just a computer game. There are far more graphic movies depicting the act of rape. That to me I think would be far more brutal in a sense. This is just an over the top thing that we don't judge any more serious than people did with the anime Redo Of Healer. If we have trauma about things, we shouldn't partake in media that can trigger those traumas. That's a natural response, I think.

It's not publicly available to kids unless said kids bypass the verification, which at the point the onus is on their guardians and parents for being so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at their job and for giving their kids unlimited access to their credit cards.

Not like any sane "kids" are going to ever buy stuff like this irl anyway, all I'm seeing here is angry femcels pretending to be younger than they really are with a tint of Munchausen syndrome.

they are creating new accounts just to report this. one of the posts on gamergirls subreddit apparently said it's because when you interact with games like this on steam then it keeps reccomending them porn games
