Keyboard Rebinding Guide

The game does have keyboard rebinding, but the feature is not within the game itself. The feature is instead found within the game's files.

I'm here to help those who prefer keyboard/only have keyboard to get their desired keys. There is an .ini called keyboard.ini in the PB bin folder, editing this will change your keyboard controls.

You can find keyboard.ini by going to the game's properties, local files tab, and clicking Browse local files. Without using steam, by default, you'll find keyboard.ini in Steam\SteamApps\common\Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds\bin.

Within the file, it's nothing but numbers, but using my tempalte, I've added information on what each position represents, and what button it is mapped to on the template. Inputs become faulty if the lines are too long, so a lot of titles have been shortened.

Here is my keyboard.ini for a base

38/Up/Up
40/Down/Do
37/Left/Le
39/Right/Ri
65/Weak/A
83/Medium/S
68/Strong/D
90/SP/Z

81/PB/Q

Since everything is labeled, this is a lot easier to mess with than the base ini. To find the proper number for each key, use this website and replace each

Example: Up is originally set to 87, which is the letter W. Using the website, I've changed it to 38, which is the Up Arrow Key. In-game the Up direction is now mapped to Up Arrow.

Edit: This is my config which uses the numpad for movement. The rest is the same as the config of the OP.

Maybe I'll be able to play this stupid game 2 years after I bought it because this lame developper can't be arsed to do a simple keybinding option in their game... Something they promised over 2 years ago... u_u

Sorry for the bump, but the last two on the button are actually the game's input for the Start and Back buttons respectively. I changed the one with code 49 to the Enter key's code and change the 50 code into Backspace, though I'm not sure if messing around with the last two will have any negative effects for certain menus or when 1P is assigned to a controller.
