Gotta go SLOW??
Started up Sonic Lost World, everything was fine right until I get to the first stage and everything is just SLOW! It's not stutturing or like stopping at points, the game is literally in slow motion! I've dealt with Generations slow famerate and got it fixed by fooling around with the displays and applying with the NVIDIA card and I got 60fps most of the time playing and no problems at all! I tried doing the same trick for Lost World and it looks like nothing is changing! It's just slowdown every single time. I could run Generations top notch but it looks like its just running slow for Lost World.

Ok I'm trying it and I'm stuck on step 3 "select cpk.bms". There is no text file I can select. In the "Disk" Folder of Sonic Lost world.
Just go into the launch options and put in the command "--F".
Meh I prefer 60. The game is a bad port compared to generations.

try turning off the grass in the graphics options.. fixed the slowmo problem for me..

The problem is that the original version of the game was designed for the wii u hardware, and it's hardware is capable of running the game at 60fps all the time, making the physics and mechanic tied to the framerate is easier than making it for variable framerate (even the wii u version have some slowmotion if you install the game in a harddrive with R/W problem). Also, you can't blame SEGA because of the Nvidia Optimus bugs, the game was designed to load the first GPU available (which is the Intel HD gpu) and that also happen to a lot of games, because Nvidia Optimus sucks.

I think there is a workaround for those game, I don't know if it's true, but you can force your laptop to always used the Nvidia GPU, even in the desktop, but it will drain your battery.

I'm having this problem myself. 45FPS average (sometimes it's higher).

CPU: AMD FX-4100
GPU: Radeon HD 6670
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 10

(...so basically a 2012 PC.)

And didn't the Wii U version run at 30FPS, and felt a lot faster than....this? (Note: I don't have a Wii U)

The Hedgehog Engine hates AMD I think, or maybe you have an outdated driver. My computer have similar specs (Phenom II X4 960T and GT440 1GB) and I always have 60 fps with shadows activated and 720p resolution

I'm on AMD and it's fine.

Sonic Generations was much better. I'm ready to refund this game. Its already of lesser quality, looks ugly, not as fast, and a sorry story.. Now its poorly Optimized and I have a 980. Yet I got to play this at 40FPS or its in slow motion. THis is Completely Sega's fault cause they should have made this game work correctly for PC.

I should add that the slowdown only occurs when playing at 1080p. Everything's fine (albeit stretched) at 720p.

Same, but that is because of the GPU performance, it doesn't stretch if it is windowed

Sonic Lost World needs CPU more than GPU, it doesn't look ugly (but that is my opinion) and you should play the first sonic games if you think it is slow, also, Sonic Lost World is better port than Sonic Generations, It's AMD fault that their APUs have instructions error that the game needs to run properly.

I own Sonic 1-3 and Spinball, Sonic Advance as well as Sonic Adventure. Its speed would be fine if it was an open world. My CPU is an FX6350. If what you said is true then How am I running Sonic Gen with a Smooth 1080p 60FPS vs Lost World?

I don't understand your point, both Sonic Lost World and sonic 1-3 are platformer games with the same speed concept in platforming sections, but you said that Sonic Lost World speed is better for an open world game...? Do you even know how to play the game? also, obviously it is your computer configuration problem that the game is slow. It is impossible that my computer (Phenom ii X4 960T and GT440) is able to run the game better than your computer, that's not an optimization problem.

Have you played Sonic Adventure? The Parkour Elements would work perfect. Plus an Openworld would be easy to travel if they made you super fast. So make it with a Slower travel rate or Bigger world.. You were saying I should play the previous Sonic's. I was letting you know I have. I think its something with my CPU why its not performing.

Didn't AGES (Get it?) release a patch or program or something to change FPS? Saw it in a review...

It's pretty unstable tho, it will break the game mechanics if the fps goes below 45

I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop, and the game still runs slow, could be because the game chooses the Intel CPU instead of the NVIDIA GPU to open
