Sky Road Zone 4

Oh great I thought I was doing well until I reached this one. I eventually reached the Zeti boss. I did the kick enemy and homing attack afterwards on him. Then we reached the end of the road. When the Zeti boss was close to the edge. I was able to do the full target homing attack which I tried but Sonic took damage and lost rings. So I tried letting the target homing attack charge up and I tried the kick attack. Still no good. Sonic still took damage.

What is happening? I've watched a playthrough video of how its done but when I do it, Sonic still takes damage!

You have to "charge up" the homing attack. You simply have to wait until there are 4 (i think) rings on the homing attack cursor.
I failed at the part as well and had to look it up. This game has a habbit of not explaining things well :P

Yes I did that fully charged homing attack but Sonic still took damage and lost rings.

Then you did it wrong. This is exactly what you need to do.

Remember in order to defeat him, don't use kick.

I mean a little little bit longer. I think I will try just it myself again now.

Yep,just tried it. Not a bug,just bad game design. You have to wait a little bit longer than you would think you have to.

You have to get him in the corner and do a super homing attack you need do jump 2 times to aim him many times.

Finally worked after I died like over a dozen times smh. Sorry for the necromancing but there weren't any other relevant threads and since this hub isn't active, there won't really be anyone responding to me anyways.

Yeah I also found allowing the homing attack to multiply with circles helped to take down the boss.

I think I just stood there while the homing attack icon multiplied, and then I held the jump button before doing the homing attack.
