random crashing, pausing, and tutorial

I am loving the game, not loving the random crashing all the time. The first two times I loaded a game I did not get a tutorial on how to make a house which lead to an annoyed neighbor when I hid in her house all night to avoid the night denizens. The biggest frustration was that time did not pause when I hit the escape button to take care of something and was killed by a bee while staring at the screen with a resume button.

Currently we are trying to track down why the game is crashing on people. We can't seem to replicate it. We have made a change in version 1.0.3 that increases ram allocation that could possibly have something to do with the problems people are experiencing. Is there any consistency in what you are doing when the game does crash?
The tutorial should be working the same way no matter what. The house building tutorial won't start until you complete some of the other tutorials first...
It's possible at some point we could make the game pause when in a menu. The reason it doesn't currently is because when that system was made we were still planning on including multiplayer:/ It turned out to be a much more daunting task than we had imagined. Please let me know if you run into any things else!

that doesn't sound very definite, so until (if ever) it happens, I'll remove it from my wishlist.

Thank you for letting me know, I realized later that the house tutorial popped up after I grew the wheat. Since it loads quickly it is not a big deal to save and quit when the dogs or (adult) kids want something.
The crashing is random, it has crashed during: hitting a lighting bug first thing in the morning, placing a fence post, mining tin. etc. If it is not something that is happening with most people and you haven't been able to duplicate it, my uneducated guess it that It probably has more to do with the computers. My video card is getting a bit old, but with the chip shortage and horrendous prices, a new one is not in the immediate future. My other games stopped crashing after I put in an additional hard drive and moved my games to the D drive.
I noticed that the adventurers treasure chest disappears from his house and when I had the rest of the stack still in my inventory, all of them disappeared.

i currently cannot play longer then 30 min before it crashes, sometimes not even 15 minutes. please fix this as soon as possible because i quite like the game itself.

We just released 1.0.4 that will hopefully fix the crashing. We identified a few memory leaks as well as a crash bug related to the Builder. Let us know if you're still having issues!

Yay! played for several hours and no crashes and my baby cows stayed when I restarted
