Tides of Annihilation

Tides of Annihilation

Regarding gameplay
It looks very fast-paced, bayonetta/DMC esque, which is one of the best kinds of action games imo. My main concern is how much of the combat will allow for meaningful skill expression, as in the gameplay, we never see the inputs made for the various "knight" summons. The only time I saw an input was a one-button 'Summon support knight'. I'm hoping that there is either a 'manual' mode for combat to allow for player-made combinations, or that such a mode is the default and it's not simply a 'press button when button glows' type.

Regardless, it does look fun and I'm a huge sucker for Arthurian anything. As a longtime FATE fan, it's fun to see what look like some takes on Guinivere and Nimue (Vivienne), although Gwyndolyn is her own character from her own mythos. Having her big gameplay showcase fight being against Mordred is a bit on the nose for her to not tie at all to Guinivere. I get the feeling the lore won't make a lot of sense, or will need some external explanations, but I get the feeling that's not what most people play high-octane action games for anyway.

Arthurian adaptations are either garbage, or absolute peak though--and usually they're some insane mixture. Wheel of Time comes to mind as an example of the latter, (Books, not the interrupted abortion that is the show.) Fingers crossed that this game lives up to the potential from both the cinematic and gameplay trailers!
