Not a western game, so having attractive characters that aren't the ghey is perfectly okay. China has been cooking lately and western devs better wake up fast or the Eastern devs are going to eat their lunch (and dinner) lol

thats so true. the only downside is that I can't get this physically because that would involve getting a ps5 or xbox and i really dont want to deal with western consoles at all >:(

i like to get physical versions of games that I feel are really special works of art you know? ah well *shrugs* I'll definitely be getting this. Now if only an eastern studio would make a game based on Americana. Like the war of independence or civil war period stuff. That'd be cool!

I miss physical games myself, though I think I would struggle to find room for all the games I have now tbh

same here, im trying to limit my physical games to ones that are big enough size wise to save on hard drive space (breath of the wild, xenoblade 3, tails of cold steel etc), or games that would be easier to play multiplayer with on console (sea of stars, scott pilgrim etc) or games that are super niche and have a great story (fuga melodies of steel, unicorn overlord etc)

that leave the vast majority of games that are single player and take up less than 2gb of hard drive space and such. Plus i get to save on waiting for good sales on digital games.

I have no choice but to be really picky on which physical games i get now. *shrugs*

Agree. I used to like to collect physical copies as well. But now really seems impractical except for those collector's editions

Honestly I would still buy collectors editions too but I just never do so in all honesty. They could still sell physical copies but instead of DVDs they could be on flash drives. I hope we do see a return to some physical media as I do think there is a market for it

I used to buy collectors editions but when I saw how little American collectors editions had I would just import everything from Japan. Like for xenoblade X on wiiu I saw how garbage the collectors edition was so I just imported the entire cd ost and complete artbook for example. Did the same with okami for ps4. MUCH better lol

I don't do that anymore though. Too expensive. Lol I Also kinda despise what LRG did with onr of their "collectors editions" when they made a freaking little usb drive for a game. That wasn't a physical copy at all *face palm*

I moves countries and I literally gave away a lot of rare big box collectables including the first COD game, GTA VC on disk (4 CD's) and the original Stalker in a metal collectors tin and several others.

I gave up on collectors editions after that, as its too much hassle if you move. Though I still love physical media and if I finally settle forever, I would love to collect it again.

PC physical games need to come back, I keep suggesting if theres a market big enough for it GOG could and should do it, just pure profit selling discs with pre-loaded GOG installers for a markup compared to the download.
Obviously done well with all the proper packaging and manual and pressed discs, no cheap LRG CD-R cashgrab garbage.
After 6 years of not having an optical drive I just bought my first BD drive, bought some movies and music, not because I dont already have them on my drive or because its practical or makes sense but I just miss physical copies now and with rumors of BD end of production by some companies I might as well do my very late tiny part to keep it alive a bit longer. Best I can do as I don't have consoles, its a shame PC physicals have been dead for so long, after this much time maybe the constant price hikes would be more bearable if they tried to play it off by giving an option "See you can get something more than a revocable license ain't that cool? Just don't notice games start at $80 now please"
