This game has a great set design and story, dark catacombs of the ancient pyramids where an aspiring photographer of the late 70s aims to capture what lies beneath... As a broad description to avoid spoilers, it introduces the idea that aliens helped build the pyramids and there is some kind of spiritual connection to them. I think this concept is extremely interesting and a great fictional foundation to build from, but there's one major problem. It's short asf.

It's like mamma baked the best cake you've ever seen in your d*mn life just for her to feed you one bite then throw the rest out of the window. I think it has amazing potential but so long as they keep the game the way it is, it's a thumbs down from me. I think it's just unfinished.

A few smaller quirks includes the grammar (I'm guessing darkphobia isn't native English), the story isn't expanded upon (I guess that's expected as per the length of the game), and the actual horror aspect is lacking (*SPOILER here* there's only one chase where you can die if you run into the monster)

I'm primarily writing this review because I want the devs to know they have something golden, they just have to expand on it more. Also I'm kinda tight I spent the seven beans but took my time so I'm over two hours.

Amenti is like getting lost in a history documentary that suddenly decides it’s a horror film. I thought I was signing up for a chill tomb exploration admire some ancient statues, maybe solve a puzzle or two. Instead, I got cursed, jumped at shadows, and seriously reconsidered my life choices every time I heard a distant whisper. The puzzles are that perfect mix of ‘Oh, I’m a genius’ and ‘Wait, how did I not see that?’ The atmosphere is so thick you could cut it with a cursed dagger, and the sound design practically dares you to keep your headphones on. If you enjoy being both curious and constantly paranoid, this is your game. ⚰️👸💀👻

AMENTI immerses you in an atmosphere of intrigue and danger from the moment you step into the ancient pyramids of Egypt. The game succeeds brilliantly in its goal to scare you, keeping you on edge with thrilling jumpscares that delight in reminding you that you're safely on the other side of the screen.
The graphics are spectacular, perfectly setting the stage with stunning visuals of ancient Egypt, while the storyline is easy to follow yet deeply engaging. Jumpscares are delivered flawlessly, heightening the suspense and excitement to a perfect ten out of ten.

PS: It's my first time playing a solo game and I love it! I highly recommend AMENTI for anyone looking to enjoy a thrilling and immersive horror experience. :)
