Hey Jun 5, 2015 @ 7:27am
Is there a way to unlock all factions without destroying their ships?
Well, there are a few factions I didnt unlocked yet because they are so rare... and the modded factions are a little bit buggy by me, if I load a savegame then every ship is gone...

Gabe you can try to edit unlock.lua file with Notepad++ and replace the numbers (everything) in this file with this:
{2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 15}

I'm not sure if this will work on steam version, but it worked on non-steam alpha version I played long time ago.

Location of the file:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Reassembly\data\ships

Oke thx gonna try.
Hey Jun 5, 2015 @ 1:51pm
there is no unlock.lua.

Camo5 mentions it in his guide where he talks about making factions playable:

The unlock.lua is in the userdata folder. Check the screen shot.

oh it works nice thx but is there a way to unlock the mod factions too? just adding a few numbers after 16?

It's in a different folder. You can look at Camo5's guide again. It gives you the path to the files and the codes you need to enter.

ik but it doesnt unlock the mod factions

oh from a mod. I guess you'd have to figure out what number the mod creator set the faction to. maybe message him?

update on this, if anyone tried the cvar entry and found it not working (logs would show "kPlayableFactions" as uninitiated), an alternative is to modify the factions.lua by changing or adding this value under each factions you want to play.

playable=2

valid values are 1 = playable(locked) and 2 = playable(unlocked).
this file can be found within the main game folder's data subfolder.
