Ripple FIre Suggestion
I was playing as Red Orange faction, and tried a build where I massed phasers, set to ripple fire I noticed that if I split 10 phasers into two groups one on left and one on right button I get more dps and more projectiles, this got me thinking that we need either a new fire mode or a setting for ripple fire for how many guns to shoot in parralel.

if I had 30 guns I might want ripple 3 for instance where 3 separate guns fire at a time and the ripple is 10 guns long instead of how it is now where each gun fires one after the other till all 30 have shot, with many sitting long after their cooldown is ready.

does this make sense? anyone else notice this?

Ripple fire works for some guns but not all guns. Thoes that allready have high rates of fire or particularly large groupings you tend to have a lower damage output.

but if you could set paralell it would work with more guns, the issue with the phasers is they shoot twice and then have a 2 second cooldown, if I have 10 of them half are ready before the whole group has fired, but if I split it into 2 groups of five and hold both mouse buttons I get a higher fire rate, at least it looks like it, I seam to do more damage and my energy drains much faster.

But if you could set ripple 2 and have 2 fire at a time, or ripple 3 and have 3 fire, then you would instantly have far more versatility and it would apply to more guns. a spinbox type control popping up next to the fire button when ripple fire is selected allowing you to adjust would be the perfect solution I think.
