The Game looks good but ...

The game really looks like fun and I like that type of game BUT and thats a big BUT

I think it will die with this Price Tag ... 23 Euros for some maps in a 1 vs 1 Game where (I dont know that for a fact just saw it in a Video) you have 4 Tasks that doesnt even Differ ... its just way too expensive ... I like the concept I like the game itself but it is only 10-15 Euros worth everything above is just way too high.

I dont think anybody will buy it at this Price Tag ...

This thread's gone on a while but as a fencesitter who would probably fit in in the community - keep the price at this point for a while before going on sale.

I stay away from EA titles on principle(though Factorio and Rimworld won me over, this might as well), but it sure as hell won't be 25 dollars keeping me from taking the leap once you full release... and at the risk of sounding a bit elitist... the "lol 5 dollars ynot" crowd I can do without.

I spent quite a decent amount of money on very crappy titles EA or not.

But i can tell you for sure, i bought Spy Party like a week ago and i know 100% i won't regret that decision, Spy Party is very solid imo, even if it's still in EA.

Now not trying to attack OP here, but there was a game called "The Culling" which is now unfortunately dead, but people were ranting about it's price all the time, until... they actually made a discount at some point, a huge discount actually.

Then at that moment, it all fell apart for the developers, kids bought the game and called for nerfs all the time, the developers listened and listened to them all the damn time, until they destroyed it so much for the "Small, but Veteran" playerbasae, that it pretty much died.


The moral of the story is, if you have genuine interest in something, you will buy it no matter what and you will practice and practice as a newbie, until you get better and Spy Party is a game that you definitely need alot of practice to gitgud, that's why i bought it.


Findanniin mentioned Factorio, look at them.. their price tag is a solid 20 EURO. No cents or any of that BS and they never make any discounts, but people appreciate their work and art.

So my message to checker, never change your price tag just because people tell you to.

I thought factorio was still $20 USD, I guess they raised the price. It'd be lame to charge EU folks more is all. If I remember right some games would charge the same numerical value regardless of currency so people paying in Euros paid more. That doesn't seem to be the case here though.

I haven't seen a single player complain that the game has no player, because there was always someone other player you found to play matches against.

Now with the steam release the concurrent player numbers have explored in comparison to before, with reaching peaks of over 400 concurrent players and if big twitch streamers like Lirik, Sodapoppin and Summit1g keep playing this game (they played quite a lot recently) then the game will probably grow even more.

But again, if you feel the price is too high then simply wait for a sale and then reconsider if the sale price would be okay for you. It's totally fine if you don't buy it.

Please don't compare RimWorld to this trash.
