How Can I Make A Username In-game?

I guess my title more or less sums up my inquiry. I am just a random string of numbers. The /help menu is a little use unfriendly or I am a simpleton and can't make sense of it.

I noticed a string usernam ="s[your steam ID number]/steam" in the SpyParty.prop file. Did anyone tried to edit the entry to see if it allows you displaying any name you want ?

edit : Just tried it and nop, it doesn't work !

No updates I'm afraid, but I know that the developer is working on it right now, so it should be fixed in a day or two.

currently if you bought the game on steam, it just shows your name as your steam ID. checker is working on it.

just a little while ago (like less than an hour ago) he enabled linking spyparty.com beta accounts with steam, so I'd guess being able to choose your name by creating an account on spyparty.com and linking it (or maybe even using your steam name?) is coming very soon

Ah cool, well this answered my question! I was hoping to not be known as s230856734895634896734895648925748 for my first game, but if it's getting fixed in the future, that's good enough for me! :)
