CAN NOT SEE SAVE GAME

Hello everyone, I would like to ask, two days ago I was playing and when I reached mission 6, I exited the game and turned off my computer, thinking the game would auto-save. But today when I logged back in, I had lost all my progress and had to start over from the beginning. Has anyone experienced the same issue, and can anyone help me with a solution? Thank you.

Is there a file inside the "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\CAPCOM\DEVILMAYCRY4SPECIALEDITION\" folder?
