It has been working for me so far. Basically you need to find two system files related to dx10 in your windows folder that predate those altered by the microsoft platform update, and place them in the route of DMC4SE's folder. These are d3d10.dll and dxgi.dll.

Follow these instructions and all should be well again. It *might* also work for other dx10 games, but I can't confirm that yet.
If it helps, lets get this stickied. Its damn clear by now that crapcom have abandoned the game.
