What does orbs do?. Help

I know. the blue does do so you getting more hp.
And the cital star, give your hp then your low.
But what does holy water, and the another orbs do?..

im sadly dyslexia, so have problem to understande. So i hope someone will write down, what every orb do. That will be very kind!!

Holy Water - when you use it, it kills all demons on screen
Gold Orb - you can use one of three to revive yourself when you dead
Purple Orb - adds one addition gauge of Devil Trigger for every orb (Like Blue Orb for health but for Devil Trigger)

It should be mentioned that using Holy Water, Gold Orbs, or any restoration items will hurt your ranking.

Probably not a concern your first time through the game.

Holy water doesn't affect your ranking.
