You should buy Blue Orbs from Item shop, but you won't get all of them (only 6? if i remember correctly) only through shop, you should get Blue Orb Shards (4 Shards = 1 Blue Orb) by completing Secret Missions or by finding them in hidden places

The easiet solution is to simply buy DLC from the store...You'll get full DT meter, Full Health bar at the start of the game....

Do special missions, hunt down Blue orbs, and buy them from the shop. Once you have 2 screen bars worth thats it. To refill your hp, be in Devil Trigger mode or get green orbs as a drop from breakables and enemies.

DLC on this game is cancer. don't buy it when you can easily follow some guides and get max health the normal way.

You should be more concerned about not getting hit.

You do realize not everyone's got the time and is willing to spend hours replaying the same level as the original game which came out 7 years ago right-_-?
DLCs for this game are all time savers (expect Lady&Trish costumes)

What forblaze said. Best way to improve. Learn the cue noises for enemy attacks. They usually always give some kind of pre-movement / pre-sound to let you know they are about to attack. It's learning them which makes it easy to avoid as you know what to expect.

Why would anyone buy DLC for stuff that's easily obtainable in the game... /facepalm

you don't need to put hours and hours to get full health. it took me 2 hours to get them all.
and if they are not willing to spend the time for it. they should play a different game. the original version didn't had any DLC at all. and heard no one complain about it either.

i don't mind DLC as long as it adds extra replay time. if its just skins or unlocks. its just cancer for me. specially when this can be obtained within game.
