Did they really make the game even easier?!
I've only done two missions and even with A ranks, I've gotten enough red orbs to buy 4 of the 6 blue orbs in the upgrade store

Good god, capcom; where's the challenge in that?!

30k per mission. Rediculous. The game was easy before, but they've ripped every sense of a challenge out now. Son of Sparda should be standard.

You don't HAVE to buy the damn orbs y'know?

Not only that but you can still get rekked in DMD.

You're missing my point. Point being Red Orb and Proud Soul payouts were much lower originally.

That was one of the changes, so you didn't have to take so long to grind out the same stuff as you had done before with DMC4.

Would you rather spend your time trying to get all your moves so you can enjoy the game?

I understand that red orbs and proud souls are shared between the 5 characters, so there would be little to no grinding even with the original payout rates.

Just robs the game of even more challege imo.

Yes lol. I mean come on, on Devil Hunter its practically impossible to die. I prefer games that challenge me and cause me to learn attack patterns. I solo'd Dark Souls 2 (having never played one before) and although brutal at times, it was satisfying. Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma/ were the same: hard, but enjoyable.

I just want a bit of challenge out of an action game is all. The enemies are not supposed to be punching bags. They should at least TRY to hit you back.

Congragulations, you beat normal, now try modes like Legendary Dark Knight, DMD, and then come back and say the same thing.

but it`s still a difficult game

Yeah I mean like it's just an observation but I feel like they increased the drop rates so that returning players wouldn't have to spend forever grinding just to get what they already had back. I don't mind it at all. I've played DMC4 so many times before the Special Edition that I really would rather not have to wait to get everything back.

Just play a higher difficulty. DMD isn't a walk in the park.

Are you serious? You seriously tried normal and then came on here to whine? Try frikkin DMD already it'll shut you up.

If you want it really crazy go for hell and hell mode. AKA ♥♥♥♥♥♥' impossible.

Since no one is pointing it out, yes, the number of Red Orbs and Proud Souls are doubled in the Special Edition. If you don't like it, here[www.capcom.co.jp] is an instruction on how to disable that feature.

We've made some under-the-hood tweaks in the Special Edition to make the game more balanced and approachable. However, by inputting a special command you can play using the original DMC4 settings. The color of the game's logo will change, indicating that you are playing using the original settings.

This can only be done when there's no existing save data, so if you have already created a game you'll have to delete the save data.

<PS4>
On the title screen (where "Press Any Button" is displayed) hold L1 and R2, and turn the left stick clockwise twice, then turn the right stick clockwise twice, then press R3 and L3 together to bring up the settings confirmation window.

<Xbox One>
On the title screen (where "Press Any Button" is displayed) hold LB and RT, and turn the left stick clockwise twice, then turn the right stick clockwise twice, then press the left and right stick buttons together to bring up the settings confirmation window.

<PC>
On the title screen (where "Press Any Button" is displayed) type in "devilmaycry" using the keyboard to bring up the settings confirmation window.

To people telling me to stop whining, I actually had to buy the "unlock all modes" dlc just so I could start it on a higher difficulty. The fact that Devil hunter is the hardest standard difficulty, is not my fault.

And LDK is intended to be played with fully upgraded health, DT and skills, hence it was locked until after you beat the game once. Carpcom have only given it from the word go now, becuase its the only thing that the new consoles can show off about as opposed to the PS3/360 versions that couldn't manage it due to technical limitations.
