Hideaki Itsuno
blew most of budget on the cutscenes
i mean it makes the most sense to me
we got great looking cutscenes
but we got to back track thew most of the areas
Honestly, I think it's worth it. The cutscenes really are a work of art.
I can imagine that they costed a lot.
its amazing ninja gaiden 2 was even able to be made
but explains why ninja gaiden sigma 2 replaced the blood with purple smoke
it kind of like the opposite of north america hear violence is hugely popular but sex is tabu
but in japan sex isn't tabu at all that's why so many anime's have such ridiculous boob jiggle's
sex is often joked about and laughed at in japan
which explan's the gloria cutscene
To be fair, I've read the two novels, the two manga, and I've watched the anime (and I think I read the wikipedia for DMC4's manga). I expect to get a lot of answers, and DMC4 seriously disappointed me. How did Trish obtain Sparda's pistols? How did the Yamato return to the human world? What happened to Vergil? Why does Nero have a devil arm, and why wasn't he born with it? etc, etc.
For me, DMC1 and DMC3 still hold the best cutscenes. They actually explain some of the story...
These cutscenes are like the whole movies, if we compare them like that, then i liked DMC3 movie more than DMC4, but it's just my opinion
One of the best things from Japan-made games is their cutscenes and great stories, i don't remember all examples but some of them are: DMC, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
DMC 3's cutscenes did a lot better job at the story. I feel like that's because the gameplay didn't do it as much. In that game, is was more: watch cutscene telling you where to go, do the mission consisting of random fighting, then the ending cutscenes is just a quick thing of Dante getting there. DMC 4 was better for the cutscene telling you where to go, and you going there in gameplay, then cutscene showing what happens after everything.
It makes it choppier when viewed as a "movie," but better in actualy gameplay (not to say DMC 3's were bad.)
Mine are:
DMC 3
Mission 1 starting cut scene (defeating the prides I believe in his office).
Mission 6 starting cut scene (Ladt fighting the demons with Kalina Ann)
Mission 7 second and third cut scene (Vergil battle one start and ending)
Mission 10 ending cut scene (Lady vs. Dante: talking about her father)
Mission 13 ending cut scene (Lady vs. Jester vs. Dante vs. Vergil one of my favourites)
Mission 16 second cut scene (Lady vs. Dante)
Mission 19 third and fourth cut scene (Dante and Vergil vs. Arkham)
Mission 20 all of them (including epilouges)
DMC 2
Mission 20 as Dante last two cut scenes (introduction of Argosax the despair embodied and his death)
I'll come up with more later (sorry for poor formatting with the line breaks).
DMC3
Mission 13 cutscene, Vergil vs Dante and Lady with Jester joins the party
Mission 1 cutscenes
And Mission 20 cutscenes
DMC4
Intro cutscene with Nero vs scarecrows
Mission 1 Nero vs Dante
Mission 2 Cutscene before Boss fight
Mission 9(?) Alto angelo cutscene
Mission 10 Nero vs Dante cutscenes
Mission 16 Dante vs Hellgate
DMC4:SE
Vergil Intro and Ending cutscenes
I haven't played any other DMC games except of DMC3 and DMC4
In DMC1, he could have very easily flown away to another part of the island to regain his energy... and then escaped when Mundus was defeated. They could easily make up dozens of explanations for his disappearance.
