Torture Chamber help

I am stuck on Level 3, trying to get past the Torture Chamber room - after beating the enemies and ascending the stairs, I cannot pass the grim grips test where you have to cross the room without hitting the ceiling spikes. Every single time, on the third series of jumps, I am catapulted into the roof, and have to start all over again. I am about to give up - I just want to get past this one room. No matter what I do, including button mashing, waiting/not waiting, I fail. ANY help would be appreciated.

I suggest you go to Mission 3 and practice using the Hellbound on the bulbs at the start of the mission. Do it until you're confortable and then do it in mission 3. Believe me when I say, it may feel hard right now but it's easy as hell once you get the timing down, which isn't hard.

Thing with that platforming sequence in mission 3 is that you may want to wait a little bit to see how the bulbs change. One part of that section requires you to wait a little bit, but I think it's tied down to difficulty.

Basically, just grab onto the next one as fast as possible if that makes sense. Try to keep Nero's elevation as high as possible so that you aren't shooting upward.

Thanks for the replies - I will go practise. I've done that first set of jumps, at the waterfall, and that wasn't too difficult. Hopefully I'll get it soon....

oh yeah - one thing - which way do you have your 'lock on' option set? There are 3 - I was thinking maybe that might affect it? Directly in front, closest to me, can't remember what the other option is....

Just spam the hell out of grip as fast as you can. THis is the most bothersome part of the game.

Just mashing is the best way. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong when I got there with Vergil and tried for a good 6 or 7 minutes before I just got frustrated and mashed O to get across. Worked perfectly. Had the same issue when I did the level again as Lady. Once again, just wait until the bulbs get into position and mash.

Sorry to necro, but were you able to do it? I'm seriously ready to give up on this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game because of this stupid ♥♥♥♥, honestly.
