Nelo Angelo? Raw disappointment.
Its probably been brought up before but..
Who else is saddened that Corrupt Vergil's DT is no longer Nelo Angelo form?

As happy as I am to get special edition, its like come on. Nelo angelo was so simple, just dmc1 dante(Force edge/ifrit) with reskinned model and flames for Trick.
Im sure plenty of others were hyped for him

Lettuce all pray that they decide to add him as DLC one day, as disgusting as that is.

Yeah it's too bad, Nelo Angelo had a different moveset too and had crazy HP regen.

Now it's just a Sparda skin which we've experienced before with Dante.

Yeah, I'm fairly disappointed with Corrupt Vergil. Really wish he had his Nelo Angelo form, even if he didn't have the moveset.

I do miss Nelo Angelo, but it kinda makes sense from a gameplay perspective. Since Vergil is heavily based on using DT all the time to buff up his entire moveset, using corrupt Vergil would completely changes how he plays. I guess they just wanted it to be an aesthetic change.

Would it still be called Nelo Angelo? I mean if the two bosses are called Angelo Credo and Angelo Agnus, I get the feeling they would have changed the name of the form to either Angelo Nelo, or Angelo Nero (which is what he is supposed to have been called but didn't because of a mistranslation).

I think they'd still call him Nelo Angelo, since it might be less confusing than another character called Nero, and because everyone calls that version of him Nelo anyway.

I'd have loved a playable Nelo DT, but they had problems with the model way back when they tried it in UMVC3, so maybe they didn't want to risk it? Even if we did get that, I doubt we'd have gotten the altered moveset, seeing as how much of Vergil's moveset is somehow tied to the Concentration Meter.

I wasn't hyped. I knew he wasn't going to be in the game. But I do suspect they might consider throwing him in as DLC.

I think Capcom were playing it safe. Nelo is drastically different in gameplay style even back in DMC3:SE, and with DMC4:SE Vergil being a train of destruction it simply wouldn't work now, should they could just use a skin and keep the moves the same but people would have complained anyway saying "this isn't Nelo, this is just a skin how lazy" or somethiing like that. Either way Capcom couldn't win with this one but hopefully they do offer a skin for Nelo as i don't mind the moveset change if it means i can use that huge sword like Yamato.
