Dodging As Vergil Tips?
I've noticed they've changed how Vergil moves in contrast to DMC3:SE. Now I'm unable to use Trick Up and Trick Down like I used to. How am I supposed to dodge the new way? I tried doing a Trick Up while not locked on and all I did was move closer to the enemy. Because of the trouble I'm having with dodging, Credo is a nightmare to fight. Even on Devil Hunter difficulty..

What am I missing out on? Vergil doesn't get Table Hopper and with his DMC3 moves gone: I'm outta luck.

If you have a summoned sword in an enemy you'll teleport to that spot, this spot can vary on large enemies so if you hit an enemy in the head you'll teleport there.

Anyways the teleport can still be used to dodge but the timing is just very difficult.

I actually managed to take down credo without damage after a bit of pracitce by mixing rolling and jumping with trick.

It takes some getting used to but it's not that bad.

Also you can sidestep airtrick back while devil trigger is active. It takes place of rolls and looks a little like table hopper.

It's better to rely on jumps and side rolls to avoid damage, as Air Trick in this game has been made so you can get in on enemy's faces and stay on the offensive rather than help you avoid damage. While DT'd, you can teleport sideways and backwards with lock-on + jump.

Dunno i just use his trick move to dodge stuff, lock on or not, with right timing you can dodge everything since it gives you invincibility frames :P

It seems to have less iframes than DMC3, not sure yet. So attacks with a lot of active frames might still hit you, not 100% sure. Neutral Jump or rolling is probaby better since AFAIK they have more iframes. In DMC3 jumping had a ton of iframes.

You're correct in that assessment. Because his Air Trick is so fast regardless of distance it's not as reliable as a jump to avoid damage. Many times I've been hit when I was sure a DMC3 Air Trick would've saved me and it's infuriating.
