Black Screen

Has anyone else encountered a black screen after entering performance test or choosing a character to play? Just stays black and I have to force the game to close through task manager. Oddly enough the game keeps working without any error message but won't do anything past a black screen.

i7-4770; 16 Ram; GTX 760


EDIT: Forgot to update this last night - originally had it on my My Book 4tb external. Moved it to my internal hard drive and the black screen issue went away. If you have the game on some other drive that isn't your main drive trying moving it to your main and see if it fixes the problem.

Yes. I've been trying to fix it for 8 hours now, but to no avail. I'm seriously starting to get annoyed with this ♥♥♥♥. How could the original port of DMC4 work perfectly for almost everyone, but this "special edition" is littered with all kinds of different issues? I got this game to do CRAZY ♥♥♥♥, but I can't get past the damn title screen. Thanks, Crapcom.

I get a black screen when I start the game but If I alt tab in and out or start pressing buttons it starts to load. If I do nothing it stays black no matter how long I wait.
EDIT: The games now loads past past the black screen in a few seconds. Don't know why the issue went away.

Hopefully they patch it so it can play off an external or a drive that isn't the main. Running out of room on my internal. :P

Yea, I had to delete a few games to make room for it. It's a shame, but at least I can play it now.

For now I suppose but a patch for this doesn't seem like it would be too hard to make. Then again it all depends if they recongnize the issue and decide to fix it. Sorry about your position though.

I installed it on my main drive, still doesn't work.

I'm not sure that this is what necessarily caused this problem for you, but this happened to me when I turned full screen on. If you have it on, try playing in windowed mode and see if that helps, that fixed it for me.
