locally on your computer same as every other game. It will be in your documents directory inside the capcom/devilmaycry4specialedition folder.

And what to i do with that save file do i drag it somewhere?

When you play the game, it saves automatically. There's no need to drag it anywhere (unless you want to back it up: in which case copy the folder, don't move it).

What exactly is the problem you have?

it wount save my progress when i finish a mission and when i want to take a break i come back to the new mission and it starts all over agian and i was M8

Sounds like a write access issue. Whats your OS? I have heard about this problem but do not know how to fix it myself. You need to give admin priveledges to the documents directory I think.

Wait. The game does support steam cloud, that's how I got my previous save file from my old pc without having to back it up manually to my new one once I redownloaded the game.
