DMC4SE Windows 11 Fix

Is there a fix for Windows 11 at all or am I just SOL? I am running this on an MSI laptop and every other DMC game works. So that is why I am really confused. Even Marvel 3 works for me. I am experiencing the crash on start up.

Have you tried downgrading the game files using this one[github.com]? (Backup thr original exe and dll first)

I'm playing on Windows 11 as well with 1080p resolution, Nvidia GPU and 60 Hz monitor refresh rate but in my case the game runs fine without downgrading the game files.

Try the usual guide for this game but use the old version offsets since you downgraded the exe.

Also try to re-install these then restart your PC:
- DirectX Redistributable (June 2010)[www.microsoft.com]
- Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x86[aka.ms] and x64.[aka.ms]

Also what resolution do you use?

Ahhh, a 16:10 aspect ratio type. So far I think the guide only gave examples for 16:9.

Edit: 2560xAny had the 16:10 I guess but not sure how to convert it to 1280xAny.

I think I was doing it wrong and I got the game to work. But I cannot change the screen size. The game crashes after going to PC settings.

1. Launch the game as normal.
2. After everything is loaded, press Alt+ Enter to force fullscreen.
3. Go to PC Settings, let the game crash.
4. Reload the game, PC Settings should now work.

Also how did you make it work now?

Because of the downgrade I had a to change a different sequence. I picked the wrong sequence to do it on.
