Aside from that You'll probably only ever notice the finer difference if you become a high technically player. I found an older post from a member of the community I know that goes into more depth on this so i'll copy paste what he said.

A lot of high level players prefer the original version for many reasons.
First off is they made a lot of small changes that ♥♥♥♥ with you at a higher level. Some examples are the hit box on full house being messed up

and things like not being able to properly attack the Gladius’ as any character other than Nero.

Lastly; the person saying the original version doesn’t run well is mistaken, it’s DMC3’s original PC port that needs mods to run properly. DMC4 vanilla runs a lot better than SE and will run on basically any computer. It also has no input lag unlike basically every capcom game these days. Speaking of mods the original version has DMC4 Hook which offers much more features and training options compared to SE’s DDMK.

TL;DR yes SE is probably better for most people because it’s got more characters but it’s far from being “objectively better”"
