Full Screen problem and PC Setting crash

When I started the game on my Windows 10, the game only opened in window mode and when opening PC setting, it just crashed. I found this and leave it here, which can help those who had the same issue to fix it:

Follow the instructions below

1. Launch the game as normal
2. After everything is loaded, hit Alt-Enter to force fullscreen
3. Go to PC Settings, let the game crash
4. Reload game, PC Settings should now work

Thats wierd. Try restarting your PC. If that doesnt help, reinstall the game. If it still crashes, try by right click > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode for: > and try it with a diffrent setting. I am not sure, but I think it crashed on me too on the first try. Maybe try it a few more times...? Hope this helped.

This seems to be a windows 10 issue when using windows 8.1 i didnt have a issue at all with pulling up the pc settings

you update an 2016 post xD i use windows 10 the game work fine on my computer so. Update your driver maybe

go into \AppData\Local\CAPCOM\DEVILMAYCRY4SPECIALEDITION there you will find a config file open it up and change your config, "RESOLUTION" should be set to unkown change it to something palpable like 1920x1080 also change "FULLSCREEN" to ON and that should fix it.

Turn off MSI afterburner if you have it running. Game doesnt like it. Works fine for me after disabling.

I am on the latest version. Changing to full screen or pressing alt+enter both result in black screen leading to crash. Anyone has a new fix?
