and yes if you are going to play DMC5, it's a good idea to play DMC4 first since it gives you an introduction to allot of concepts that return in DMC5. DMC4 has the set up for allot of things that get Payed off in DMC5. If you skip to DMC5 from DMC3 you will have no concept of who Nero is, and you should because Nero is a very important character.
Also DMC4SE is the only game that lets you play as Lady. Trish was unlockable to play as in DMC2, but she is really fun in DMC4SE.
