Why is there no PlayStation prompts mod?
I know this game has no native DS4 support which is unfortunate, but there are texture mods, model mods, and others. So in that case a PlayStation prompts mod should be easy.

Is that such a bother? Whichever controller you might be using, your PC is always emulating an Xbox 360 controller so button prompts will be displayed Xbox style.

I know this, but my preference is Playstation prompt style, and it's surprising to me that since this game is atleast semi-moddable there's no PS prompt mod.
Well, the Special Edition has almost no mods at all. Try the original game.

Reviving this to see if it's possible to get a mod for this. Since one still hasn't been made, or at least not made available publicly, I'm assuming there are some problems with modding this game. If there is a skilled modder out there who can make a PS4 prompts mod, the community would be very grateful.

lmfao to this day I'm still OCD about PS prompts on older games. A lot of games nowadays have dualsense and DS4 prompts so that's nice, sad to see there still isn't one for this game. Capcom has never been good at this since DMC 5 doesn't have PS prompts, but thankfully there's a mod for it.

Yeah, I'm always requesting in-game PS4 prompts for games that don't have it. I don't understand why all developers simply don't add an in-game option to change prompts to their games, it solves all issues right away. Even using the Steam Input API controller detection and prompt display feature is fine with me. One of the two should be in every game, someone should write an article about it and spread it on Twitter for all developers/publishers to see.

The main issue is that native DualShock 4/DualSense support is not enough--you also need an option to manually change the controller prompts for all controllers. This is for players who use Steam Input or third-party controllers or both (I use both). It also helps for people using their DualShock 4's wirelessly, even if they don't use Steam Input configuration features. Essentially, it's a universal solution to all prompt issues.

The SE version is now available here[underworldgates.freeforums.net]. If you're new to Fluffy Mod Manager, you don't have to keep it running while playing. Enormous thanks to Dante Black for making the mod.

I'm always indebted to the modders who go to great lengths just so that players can see prompts that match their controllers. Triangle Strategy and Octopath Traveler (1) also got PS mods recently, two other games I had been waiting for those for.

Crazy that those games don't come with it. DMC 5 thankfully had a PS prompts mod soon after release. Capcom has been getting slightly better with this, RE4R comes with dualsense prompts but doesn't include adaptive triggers support and the other dualsense jazz which is really really sad.

Regardless, thank you to the modders, people reigniting the interest and thank you for posting it despite it being an old post!
