Fatal error need help

I bought this game recently and was not having issues with vergil's story until I got to mission 6. I got to the room with the little shark enemies and after trying to proceed through the next door It loads but then says.

Fatal error.

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED:
mpStagingBuffer->Map(D3D10_MAP_READ_WRITE,0,&pbuf)

I press ok then it closes. i've tried making sure My files are validated it says they're good. i've tried deleting the game then reinstalling. but then I tried to play nero's stroy and the same thing pops up after the cut scene which I don't get because I can play lady's story to the same mission and room as vergil before the error. I really need help because I've played to long to get a refund.

I also have the same problem.
Also when i start Nero mode, after Nero first entry and Kiria song, the game stop and show the same problem..
Please Anyone solve this problem.

umm mine didn't say mpstaging buffer but resizebuffer, what should i do? i tried following your instructions and none work

Most likely it's a different problem then. I didn't see such reports before.
What's your GPU and max screen resolution?
At which point does the error happen?

My laptop specs is core i5 7200u 4gb ram and 940mx gpu, im sorry i dont know the max screen resolution and im kinda new in the gaming community, thank you very much for your response im very glad for people like you

I forgot to mention i cant launch the game, every time i click the play button the error pops up

Also make sure no overlay software is active, e.g. Discord, RTSS, fps counters, video capture etc.

I think i already tried the #1 solution, i even tried all the values/code but it doesn't seem to work or maybe i just missed something and if i did can you please tell me how to do the #1 solution step by step, also after changing the values should i restart my laptop? and im kind of confused on the first table with the APPCRASH how do i open or check that on my laptop? Sorry for the inconvience.

If you found the listed values and already tried changing them and saving the file in the process and it doesn't help, then it's not this problem either. I added you on Steam, as I can't offer anything else except manual debugging.

For the record. It was not a game issue, the user was not able to run any DX10/DX11 application on a dedicated GPU at all. Something was wrong with Windows installation - I blame 3rd party driver helper/updater that was installed along with the OS, that might have overwritten DX related libraries with wrong versions. Full Windows reinstallation solved the problem.
