Can you provide more information about what happens? Is there a message about application crash?

For now, here are problems I know about:

2. Crash without any message, seconds after launch. It's caused by Discord Overlay function. Can be solved by disabling Overlay in Discord.

Do you have Nahimic installed? Try to disable it for Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, or uninstall it. See if this solves your crash.

Do you mean "DmC: Devil May Cry" game? In this thread some people say unplugging their Xbox controllers fixed the issue. Perhaps you will want to plug it back after that, or not plug it at all and play without controller, using keyboard and mouse. Also try to disable any controller-related software like DS4.

Since it may have something to do with controller support, I'd also suggest disabling Steam Controller support like this: Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings > untick all options with "Configuration Support", there should be 3 of them: PS4, Xbox and General.

Some people say it may have something to do with USB devices, so try to unplug or disable as many unused devices as possible.

Also what's your hardware? CPU/RAM/GPU at least.
