btw I don't have any problems with charging the gun with this setup, once you get used to holding the button it just happens "on it's own"
also, I haven't touched camera control once with exception of that vital star at the beginning which i havent used yet, any of them, but I just have to pick them up
I tried with the arrow keys but it just wasn't comfortable for me
And for charging guns i legitimately cannot, either i charge, or i attack, but i can't do both at once, since my keyboard won't register that many key presses, i guess i need a better one.
And yeah, there's very little need to move the camera around which is nice, and there's even a button to center the camera to you which can completely replace a stick, it's basically how i play Monster Hunter on DS, but i don't use it on DMC4.
Also get a better keyboard. Because if your keyboard has a rollover (smallest number of keys pressed down that can always be recognized) below 5 then it's utter garbage.
Yeah i'm usually pretty supportive of KBM in gaming but when it comes to 3D hack and slash games, i tend to favour controllers.
That does sound like something that could help but i don't know if i'm tech savvy enough to set up something like that. Or maybe i just need more motivation.
If you don't feel like writing the code yourself you can try searching for a finished AHK script in the forums that does what you need.
Both to be honest. My keyboard starts being a serious enemy in DMD, but i'm sure i can manage that part, afterall you can beat DMC3 with only one style at a time. i'm even more discouraged for advanced comboing which i also take interest into, so i guess that's my biggest concern here.
At least i can enjoy trying to play Vergil at an advanced level, although i still need to learn how to properly utilize inertia and have more air control without air trick (Did they really have to make it so you can't trick up once an enemy has a sword in them though? It annoys me to no end).
Well done then! I'll keep trying and maybe change up my scheme a bit but maybe Dante on keyboard is just not my thing. Neither default nor custom ones i tried felt comfortable for me.
I don't even mind not learning flying guard and other tricks like that, it'd be enough for me if i could even perform what i want to do (basic style switching really), but alas, i feel like i have a disability when i try.
Because that's what i'm currently stuck with.
