God Rays=OFF does NOT work
I have tried several times to turn off that setting and still the jungle levels, while the gameplay is just fine, look ridiculously bright.

What you probably want to disable is Bloom not God Rays. Nobody knows how to do that unfortunately. There are several lines that start or contain "bloom" in them, but disabling doesn't actually do anything to the graphics in game.
Must be hardcoded or something.
