Controller problem

I was running this fine until recently, using a logitech F310. Then, I start it up and the B button has become the A button. The four major buttons are flipped horizontally. A switched with B, and Y with X.

This may be relevant, but I also installed DMC 3 and ran its controller config.

anyone had the same problem? I have a feeling this is kind of a long shot

It's unique to this game. I fired up another game and the controls are still normal there.

EDIT: Scratch that, it's even weirder. Guilty Gear runs like normal, but Marvel Vs Capcom 3 has the same weird reversed buttons issue.

Steam - Settings - Controller - General Controller Settings - start here. When gamepad support is enabled in these settings, Steam is adding another controller support layer to all games, which sometimes causes problems. Which is why I recommend disabling these settings first.

You go to Steam - Settings - Controller - General Controller Settings and untick the options with "Configuration Support" text.
