food quality: improve ?

how do i increase food quality, getting complaints like " i don't like my cheese bisquits, etc"; thanks

This can be a bit tricky, as it's not something straightforward.

• Your cooks will get more experienced at making specific recipes as they make more of it.
  
• Savvy customers will occasionally give you tips for improving certain recipes.
  
• You will eventually be getting access to higher quality ingredients.
  
• You can try lowering the price. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the price affects the expectations of customers.
  
• You'll be getting a lot of recipes during the course of the campaign. You won't want to place all of them on your menus. For the restauraunts where you want a really high rating, you'll be dropping the lowest quality recipes.
  
• Just like in real life, some customers just like to complain. If the number of complaints is low, you may be okay.

The expectation of the customer is based on you restaurant star rating. They expect the recipies to match.

The recipies will rating will be base on the rating of the recipe itself (which you can see while you prepare the menu) the quality of the ingredients (which increase the rating), tips to make it better (obtain from customer interaction) and skill of the chef with the recipie.

You can control which chef makes which recipe.

It is important that you take the maximum number of time for each mission to maximize your skills before the next. You want to achieve your goal only on the last month. This gives you maximum time for your chef and staff skill to go up (think of it has not growing your business too fast before you have mastered the basics).

Sometime this will mean closing down your restaurant before the day is over and then re-opening to maximize your skill gain.

When your chef are at 100% in a recipe either assign another chef to it or remove it from the menu while you are in training mode (all months except the last month).

Thanks for the info :). Been a long time since I've played this game, appears I'm getting rusty.

I still lurk in this forum from time to time, because a good game like this definitely needs somebody to support its players :).

fastest way to improve is to have couple of chefs and assign each to the recipe they know. they will rapidly improve their skill with that recipe and customers will be happy. also having less recipes at the beginning helps - more chef repeats his recipe better his skills
also if your food rating is bad consider putting a discount on menu. this way people will be content with somewhat bad quality
