Note that the Steam and GOG version of this game do NOT include the in-game music which was streamed directly from audio tracks on the CD (Re: my YouTube video below):

If you have the original CD then place this in your CD drive and play the Steam/GOG version of the game and the music will play from the CD :)
I really loved this game back when I had it on my old Pentium computer years ago, but it would be nice to see it big on my 2560X1440 ASUS monitor, even if it is in 4X3 with black bars on the sides. The color range on this newer monitor is a lot better and trying to see those pale colored runways on a pale colored landscape background from the air was an exercise in futility. I really wish some developer would come out with a new game simulating the B-17's missions in WWII. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Another check is that you also have a Readme.htm (2/28/2001) file installed in the main game directory.
Also, the CoreParts.dll file should be dated 2/21/2001.
I had no problem re buying it for Steam, I want them to know there is a market for B17, a good sequel with coop and modern graphics and physics would be fantastic news to me.
The CH flightstick is a stick from the same time as the B17 game I believe. I think it will work with the game. There isnt any oddities about that stick that might conflict like LCD displays or strange button combos. Thats a very reliable stick that has been around since the 90s.
