Screen resolution settings?

For some reasons the game persists in using 720p Terminal file for my 1920*1080 monitor. What's worse, even if I modify this file enlarging it x1.5, it shows the game in 1920*900 resolution non-resizable window. And vertically enlarging the Terminal file x1.2 gives the proper window size, but causes significant blur.
I don't like to play in a fullscreen mode. It's either a borderless window or a normal window for me. And a window not fully filling the screen, especially for this game, I find quite anticlimactic.
I'm quite disappointed, and wondering, if the really isn't any place in which the starting resolution would be stored? I can't find any ini file in game files, nor any relevant entries in User/AppData and registry, but still it seems to me to be unlikely, that those were not stored somewhere.

Yup, I know that the files are the same in both 720p and 1080p folders, but for me the game is using the file from 720p terminal, because changing this particular file is changing the display.
As for being "stuck with whatever window size the game gives", that's a very nice description, of what really is extremely irritating me at this moment. Sure, it would look better, if I changed my desktop background, but I really like it, and I don't think, that I'm mentally prepared to change it just because of some lousy and arrogant programming.
IIRC, there are some utilities, which allow resizing of any window; I guess, that's the next thing, that I will try.
But thank you very much for answering and confirming, what I was afraid, may be the case.

Actually I was able to find a simpler program - ResizeEnable. It does not resize the content of the window, just allows to resize the window itself, which in this case suits me just fine (though in case of wrapped lines, like in some not-resizable system windows of Win10, they do unwrap).
As you can see [imgur.com], it works just fine.
I don't like to share links, that may seem suspicious to some folks, so instead, if you someone would want to find the program, google How to Geek ResizeEnable to get the link from a well known trustworthy source.

Still, a very bad 1st impression, as it should be the creator, not me, dealing with this issue, which in many forms has been voiced before :( .
