Help for Fire Armadillo
Apparently if you hit the head with the Scythe's fully charged UT, there's a potentially for it to instantly die. If you're having a hard time of it in Master Ninja, give that a try. I don't know if this is a bug, or if it'll get patched out, but I just had it happen to me twice. The first time it happened I was so confused that I died from the post death explosion thinking I put it in some kind of stagger state since it still had over half its bar.

This fight is otherwise a horrible experience, but this lets you skip the entirety of the anger phase. I don't know if it requires the scythe fully upgraded.

Well, I've had the armadillo explode on me halfway through the fight more than once, and I never use the scythe, so I think it's just something that happens. Whether or not it's a bug, I have no idea.

And I agree, that fight is just terrible.

Were you attacking the head at the time? It normally counters headshots with the grab, but you can avoid it if you dodge immediately after.

If you were attacking the head, then maybe that's a function of the fight. Like a strange chance at a "decap crit" or something
It's possible that's what happened, though I usually attack its front leg/flanks.
Honestly, this game is bonkers enough that a chance to "crit" the boss and end the fight early makes perfect sense. Then again, the game is also kind of janky sometimes and it could just be a glitch, so it could go either way. ;)

The thing is, the first time I had it happen, I was normally attacking the front legs with the scythe UT, but because I was at a distance, it turned towards me and got slapped in the head.

Lol I wonder if it was like that in Sigma 2. If it was then it may just have been an intentional design, in which case good on Team Ninja because this boss sucks
