Was this always this comically bad?

Last time i playeed this was in the 360 era, don't remember this franchise being this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.

Combat is bad, camera is bad, movement is bad, performance is bad...

I mean... Is this what to expect from ninja gaiden 4? It will be a huge pass.

Bro it's gameplay is similar to all the others, it's good, you can adjust your camera with a button, and movement takes getting used too but the combat is fluid and fun. Maybe you grew out of ninja gaiden, thats fine.

In my experience, this game is a bad way to play Ninja Gaiden with an older pc and without mods. Currently the graphics and input lag were a terrible initial experience for me, and took around an hour of fiddling with settings and actually downloading a mod to bring it to a spot where those issues no longer took me out of the game. Just jumping right in almost made me refund ngl due to the price point. Edit: imo the camera here in Black is actually better than the other versions of NG2

The camera is absolutely atrocious, to say otherwise is silly. But the combat and weapon variety make up for it.

True, or... maybe some people just have lower bars to cross and different opinions about different things.

To me the original DMC quadrilogy and the original GoW trillogy just stomps this game in every sense of the word. DMC 5 alone is better than anything Koei Tecmo will ever release and if i need to take this game as a base, NG4 will be just sad in comparassion.

And as i said, i played all the ninja gaiden games back then, the were good back in their time. But if you notice, it's kind of 2025 now.

I have played every single one of the games you listed, the combat is not even close in any of those games, ng2 is peak gameplay. Maybe you are still button mashing on normal
