Question about missable crystal skulls

Hey all :)
I missed some crystal skulls during my first playthough, I'm currently chapter 15, and I have only 26/30 skulls.
Does the game takes a record of which crystal skulls I already have if I start a 2nd playthough ? So that my count is still updated and I only have to find the ones I'm missing ?

You can complete them, per difficulty if I recall correctly, on Chapter challenge.

The game will keep track of those collected at least in the same difficulty, unless I am wrong and it's fully universal.

It keep them forever on any game or difficulty. Even if you collect one and die without saving, to the game you still found it.
