Is NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection worth playing?
They write here that the remake is not original, but against the background of this remake, I would like to play something from this series. Is the collection a good purchase?

Yes. The first game is pretty much definitive in many ways. The second will be closer to original version than this remake if you install Black mod on top of it. The third is crap but you will likely want to play through it yourself to form an opinion.

for the price personally i'd say the collection is good, as you're getting 3 games. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a good introduction to the series for people who are new. Even though its not as great as Ninja Gaiden Black, as it has less costumes and some aspects removed such as chunks of levels (mostly puzzles). It feels closer to NG1 than NG Sigma 2 is to 2. If you want to get the ball busting difficulty Black had in its Normal difficulty I recommend playing the game in Hard mode to start as the enemy ai is very lax on Sigma's normal mode, especially bosses as they practically allow you to beat them up for free. If you're curious enough to play Ninja Gaiden Black and don't have a xbox console of any sort, emulation on Xemu works fine with minor hiccups with particle effects sometimes.

Since this "new" game is exactly the same as Sigma 2 (but with fancier graphics): Yes. Just go ahead and buy the MC so you can play all 3 games, including this "new" one.
Ninja Gaiden fans get super caught up in definitive versions, preferred remakes, etc.
If you are new here, you can't go wrong with ANY of the games or versions (except the original NG3, but its hard to even find that game to play these days). They are all great.

The versions that the devout prefer are slightly more difficult to play, but the Master Collection is a great starting point for new players. You should look into the MC, or NG2 Black that released today (keep in mind, it is in many ways just a graphical update to Sigma 2, which is included in the MC - be careful if you are buying both).

Here is a very good article introduction about the trilogy of these games (doesn't acknowledge this remake obviously, but covers everything before):

Helpful advice/tips included.

I think it is. I mainly bought it for Razor's Edge, since that's my favorite NG game. I really like in Razor's Edge how you can play through the entire game with the girls once you beat it.
