NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black

NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black

Game looks horrible when anything moves
(playing on gamepass)
Unreal engine 5 was a mistake.
It makes all new games suck because they don't optimize the game.
Characters and objects turn into pixelated garbage when they move

I feel fortunate not to have this issue.
Is it almost like the entire screen is filled with stretched nonsense for a few frames? If so I have that too
I was having this issue but it stopped when I turn the Refresh rate/V sync off. Prolly won't but hope that helps
I noticed this too bro, OG SIgma 2 looks far sharper regardless of any type of movement, but Gaiden 2 Black looks significantly worse during movements nd combat scenario, the ghosting is just awfull even with native resolution regardless of 4k setup, im extremely dissappointed, we had really an opportunity here, but devs really dropped the ball, nd I dont blame UE at all, always the devs which I dont like to say, but they build this game.

I do, it's well known for these issues.
Eh, no. Get a new GPU.

This game has the same blurriness as all UE5 games but what you're describing isn't one of them.

Haven't had any issues for me on the game pass PC version. Random stutters when entering a new area. Most likely shader cache loading.

sadly its about PC, UE5 require good GPU and CPU and now most of game will be released with a stupid UE5...

shader cache loading, and this garbage is always happening on UE5 games that's why SSD is now required

it's probably your dlss or upscaling settings (it comes with overblown sharpness disable it or set it to 0.2 max) because for me the game looks amazing

I have a 4080 and i9 and game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even with dlss off set to .6 resolution. about .4 sec of input lag as well regardless of setting
turn nvidia reflex to on instead of boost. i got a huge framerate boost from doing that and could turn up the graphics. also try tuning off the post processing

Yep. I’m on XSX and same deal. I experimented with the visual effects (e.g. motion blur one of them) and no matter what there is a lot of ‘blurring’ from cheap bandaid solutions in the UE5 engine or ‘noise’ caused by the lighting in the UE5 engine. It’s a crappy ‘pick your poison’ situation. This could’ve been WAY BETTER.

That's not an option in the PC Game Pass. For some reason, the PC Game Pass version is broken. FSR, no matter what setting you choose, looks like the Ultra Performance mode. Changing it, and setting aa to native does not change the look nor the performance. If I switch to TSR or no upscaling, then the sharpness appears, but performance tanks. If I then try to switch back to FSR, performance is still bad, and it still looks like I'm on TSR. It's not setting the upscaler correctly, and it's not saving the settings correctly either.

Also, if I set it to TSR with the sharper images, and then exit the game, when I come back, TSR is set. If I then try to switch back to FSR, it says it's set to FSR, but performance is still bad, but the sharp graphics are still there. I have to exit back out and then launch the game again for FSR to kick in, even though I set it in the previous session. But then, even if I set it to a good setting, like quality, it still looks like ultra performance mode; all blurry, even Ryu is blurry. It looks like someone spread grease all over my monitor.

I also tried it with Lossless Scaling, and it looks SO much better, but I shouldn't have to do that. There is something wrong with the PC Game Pass version. That is unless Steam version is exhibiting the same behavior.

Here are two pictures I took where FSR is enabled as Native, and the graphical settings set to High Quality. Switching between any of the other available settings for FSR results in zero change in the fidelity. Like I said, it's like it's always set to "Ultra performance" and Low quality.

I also uploaded a recording of me showing how it looks blurry, then switching around with different FSR settings makes no difference, then switch to TSR where the graphics improve, but FPS tanks, then switching back to FSR, and the graphics do NOT change, and the FPS is still tanking.

You'll need to download them and open them up on your device to really see it. Not sure why in the browser it looks like it does, but you can see it's not very sharp even in the browser preview.

My GPU is a GTX-1660 OC, but that's well within the specs of what this game suggests. Something is definitely wrong with the PC Game Pass version. I know I had the same issue with Stalker 2 on PC Game Pass. My steam version runs so much better. I believe other games were behind in their version from Steam versions, such as Death Stranding and others.

Disable motion blur completely, the effect causes a pixelated mess in common in many UE5 titles, like Remant 2 and Hellblade 2 as other examples.

If you want the appearance of more fluent motion use framegen instead
