NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black

NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black

Unreal Engine 5 has been a disaster for gaming
I genuinely can't understand how the same company can release a game like Dynasty Warriors Origins which is technologically impressive due to it's insane enemy counts while also running butter smooth, then turns around and releases Ninja Gaiden 2 Black a week apart which runs like ass despite having way less enemies than the original xbox 360 version and while not really looking that good either.

If Unreal Engine 5 is the reason the "definitive" version of NG2 can't have high enemy counts then sorry but there is nothing definitive about this version at all. If you really need to then make the high enemy count an optional mode like legendary dark knight mode in DMC4 and cut it from the console versions.

for arguments sake devs make it for 240p and the gpu does everything else.. i mean unreal still requires a rtx 7090 for decent performance.. yes i know that does not exist
What about Wukong?
Some of the most outstanding visuals i've seen in games i have played over the last few years have been from UE5.

Sorry if you don't have a PC that you can configure to run these games, but even on my older rig before i upgraded i was able to push decent performance and visuals out of every UE5 game that launched after adjusting some settings or after leaning on up-scaling on my older card.

The engine isn't the problem.
Many people want to have improved tech / visuals / fidelity.

There are plenty of games out there using older engines that will run on weaker hardware.
I prefer to play this. The other ports look like ♥♥♥♥ to me.
You need to wake up and stop paying atrocious amount of money for graphics cards. Current GPUs have 100x horse power of X360 yet we have games like this, looking a bit better yet running like ♥♥♥♥ on MASSIVELY better hardware.

You need to understand one thing, its in THEIR interest to make it playable for everyone, THEY are trying to sell us game. We pay for game AND we pay for expensive PC hardware, so WE should demand good product.

No wonder why we have gaming industry crisis, game developers studios overstepped our good faith, people are just fed up and buy less games.

Both Nvidia and Unreal dont give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about gamers, they just want to milk money, but its game developers studios responsibility to fight with this, we are just consumers, all we can do is not buy games.

Yes the visuals are so outstanding! Everything is blurry and smeared with wax. Every single UE game looks the same to the point where you can tell its a UE game, insane ghosting everywhere, awful stuttering, no matter what your specs are the performance level is unacceptable. Just look at Silent Hill 2.

It is most definitely the engine. Out of every single UE game I have encountered maybe 2 that ran well, one of which was Lies of P, everything else is a visual disaster.

Stalker 2 had awful performance as does blackmyth, 29fps on a 5090 btw. Lords of the fallen also has subpar performance. Remant 2 also has to rely on framegen to hit decent framerates. Hogwarts needed an entire mod to hit acceptable framerates in a lot of cases. Gotham Knights also ran like a s s .

So either all of these studios have incompetent developers or this is an engine issue. Hmm i really wonder what it could be?
UE5 was a bad move from team ninja. I wish they sticked to their inhouse game engine from nioh2. They could have implemented low overhead AA like SMAA or FXAA for image CLARITY because TAA is so damn blurry.
Ninja Gaiden would feel so much better on a less demanding engine. Most players would be able to lock 120fps. We don't care about nanites, lumen, ray tracing. For a hack and slash, low input lag and high fps are sooo much more important. With talented artists they could have made their games look good on less fancy engines. Team ninja do have good artists.

I'm not convinced for Ninja Gaiden 4 on UE5.

Also, 80 gigs for a 7-10 hour game.
I mean, come on. Nioh 2 had more stuff and still less than that.
7-10h on easy.
I agree OP. Since UE5 is a thing the gaming industry has been going downhill. Im glad NG is back but they should've used UE4 instead.

Ninja Gaiden is a heavily replayable series. If length is a problem to you, ♥♥♥♥ off back to whatever 100+ hour Ubisoft or generic JPRG series you frequent.
His issue is the size of the game vs the length, not that the game being short was a problem.

For comparison, NG Sigma 2 is less than 5GBs. That puts into perspective actually how unacceptable this kind of an upgrade is. At most i can see 30GBs, but 80 is outrageous. This ain't no Doom Eternal or God of War.

Graphically it's ahead of Doom Eternal and God of War (outside of character models). That said I do think 80 GB is too much. I don't think any game these days needs to be over 50 GB if they actually bothered to optimize textures and whatnot properly.

God of War? Yeah. Doom Eternal? I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

But yeah, for the content, it's definitely not worth 80 gigs.

The entire industry is held hostage by UE5. But did you see the last engine KT tried to make? Be grateful lmao

Nice anecdote.

Incorrect, it is the engine, there are no good examples of functionally compitent Unreal Engine games that weren't hacked to death to the degree where it doesn't even resemble Unreal Engine (think Days Gone developers, they completely reworked that engine because in stock form it's worthless). Likewise, if it wasn't the engine, Nvidia wouldn't have their own fork due to the awful performance of the stock offering.

It is the engine, because the engine was created by a group of people who have zero experience with AAA high fidelity games, Unreal Engine works great for their game (Fortnite) but wholly incompatible with a game of this nature that requires speed, fluid motion, and stable image clairty due to needing to read the situation properly at all times.

I am full with you, I think the only game that ran well on UE was Lies of P. Other than that, nothing else. Maybe Days Gone as you said but it was modified beyond recognition.
you havent played many games to be that clueless?
