Don't buy it. It's a Sigma 2 based remaster.
I've reached Chapter 2 on Very Hard. Yes. I hoped that the encounters would be similar to the original ones from Very Hard.

Reality is harsh. It's the same as the Sigma 2 encounters. The difference is that there are a few more enemies.

For a while, I've been watching the Ninja Gaiden community closely to see if this game is moddable. As a result, yes, modders seem to be interested. The fact that it's made with UE5 and thus easier to mod has changed my mind.

I bought the game again after the refund. If you didn't buy the game after reading my post or got a refund, you can buy it on sale or if you think Ninja Gaiden should come back to the market, you can buy it now.
Yeah I mean, if you care about Ninja Gaiden and want to see more you should just delete this post lol. Sure maybe it's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction after the last release; I'm honestly stunned that they did even this.

You know when they'll stop trying? When people stop showing interest/stop buying. I think it's a good effort and I think it's worthwhile such as it is, even if it's not the Black version that some of us would've wanted.

The OG version sucks. So glad to see you pathetic fanboys not get what you want ;) Stay mad.

This sounds like the opinion of a contrarian who never played the original. It doesn't suck, it never sucked, and to pretend it sucks shows your true colors.

What a clown.

Don't feed the trolls. The only reason they're around is because they're foraging for food and people hand it out.

I'll look forward to buy this game on a sale. 50 bucks for a Sigma 2 remaster is not worth it. People tried to justify devs they lost source code but man... they got eyes and hands. Nothing could stop them for playing 360 release and with that add changes to get closer to OG NG2. Lack of tests of valor stills hurts like hell.

its not a sigma 2 remaster though. its on a new engine, it actually has the gore now, you get to play as more characters. The spawns are not the same as sigma 2. It doesn't have as many enemys as og ng2 but it has more waves than sigma 2.

It literally is. Moving it to the new engine is the remastering.

The gore is a minor change.

The extra characters were always an option in Sigma, just not in the OG.

Etc.

Having extensively played all versions of NG2 my stance is that this is the best version of the game in its current state. It could have a few extras added in a patch that are missing such as the projectiles and maybe an increase in enemy numbers in certain areas then it is basically the best of both versions combined. This game however looks 100x better with the heavily upgraded environments and textures. I was just recently like a few days ago playing the 360 version via emulation so I have it fresh in my mind, I would take this version over that any day of the week... There are sections here where there are many more enemies than NG2 but they come in waves instead of in a massive horde which is an interesting new mechanic as it gives you a second to recover your whits and prepare for the next wave. The Blood and Gore here is just Massively Upgraded in every way compared to NG2. Action feels faster and tighter due to the high frame rate. Could they do even more? yes of course they could but dude come on this game might not have ever even happened but it did and its good, no it's great.

No input lag delay on your side ?
It does not sound this remake is as reactive as original NG2

This is how different the 2 are in comparison. I've only played NG1 Sigma on PS3 and NG2 original on 360, but I do remember not liking Sigma very much and NG2 being extremely difficult at the time lol

I'm going to go through the refund process now, so I can't really confirm, but Fiend Busa is live. Go check it out.

I watched Fiend Busa's broadcast and thought I should get a refund.

ps. Anyway, I'm trying to write as fairly as possible to protect other people's money, but fanboys can't accept reality. If you really think this is a combination of the original and Sigma 2, play it hard. I don't care.
Lol this guy call people fanboys, but he though he needed to get a refund because of a streamer live LMFAO !

You couldn't be more wrong. It's 100% based on NG2 original more so than Sigma 2. They just kept some Sigma 2 stuff in there. Like the female ninjas and their stages. They removed the dumb Sigma 2 statue bosses and they even let you just buy upgrades with Karma again. So what if they kept the good parts of Sigma 2. It's way more in line with the original version.
Do you have any proof of this? Even just some video clips? Or is it just it just a "trust me, bro," situation?
