Hi men, I also have the issue that I cant see 120fps in game menu, the game is for me stuck at 60, so what kind of command did you use for launch option to unlock fps to lets say 120fps ?
What GPU are you using my guy ?
+fps_max unlimited
"event" only goes to 60, which is for cutscenes.
This is actually, genuinely, what the problem is, wow.
The game detects your active refresh rate and does not allow you to select 120 FPS if it's not reading 120Hz.
Set my display to 100Hz to test, option disappeared. Set it back, the option reappeared even without restarting the game.
What another asinine design choice.
This isn't a source engine game.
remove vsync in the setting menu.
Change the fps limit to 120 in the settings menu.
Set your Upscaler based on your GPU.
AMD GPU = FSR
NVIDIA = DLSS
Intel Arc = Intel XeSs
Don't use Frame Gen.
Make sure your Nvidia control panel settings are set properly. One of the options is max FPS and by default, if it's enabled, it's set to 60 fps.
Also, make sure your monitor is operating in a higher refresh mode if available. By default windows will sometimes run faster monitors at a default of 60 Hz until you change things in the Windows display settings. If you are using a laptop, make sure you have Nvidia Optimus off. In many cases this requires you to hook up an external monitor via the laptop's video out port such as an HDMI Port or Display Port.
If you have other applications that control fps, make sure you change the fps cap in those applications.
Also, and this is of utmost importance, have a good enough CPU to actually achieve the desired frame rate.
This game requires, at a minimum, an ...
Intel® Core™ i5-8400
AMD Ryzen™ 5 3400G
This is probably ok for 30/60 fps.
It recommends an...
Intel® Core™ i7-8700
AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600 XT
This, or better, is required for 120 fps+.
If your CPU is weaker than the minimum, nothing you do will get you to your desired fps target and it's recommended you enable vsync, motion blur, and set the fps lock to 30 in the game settings menu.
Good luck!
Enjoy. Game runs fine aside from some level geometry bugs every now and then.
