I agree. UE5 is not made for games like this. It shouldn't be that GPU / CPU heavy. Most UE5 cames like run crap on my PC, but every other modern game which uses a different engine runs totally fine.
Obviously not the best system around, but my point is, it's not old and it's due to the hardware or configuration. The game looks sweet. The gore can be repetitive, but looks good.
The issue with the Xbox Game Pass PC version is that FSR3 doesn't work. Frame gen doesn't work. TSR does work and looks fine. However FSR 3 upscaling does not work.
I platy in 2560x1440 more out of necessity. 1920x1080 looks bad on this 27" so upscaling is always more helpful than running 1920x1080 in games with ray tracing.
My largest gripe besides camera movements and.. is there actually no lockon freature?... is that frame gen doesn't work. SURE, to be fair I can disable ray tracing and get 80-100+ fps in areas, but it changes the way the game looks and I like putting a load on my hardware. But something is broken with it and FSR frame gen. FS3 Frame Gen doesn't work at all. FSR3 upscaling also doesn't work at all.
Platinum is somewhat overrated. The only mechanically impressive games they've made in their entire existence are the Bayonetta games, And even then, they have never been able to top what Capcom is able to do at their best (DMC5 for example). MGR is cool and all, but at it's core that game is very much style over substance when it comes to game mechanics and the combat is far more simplistic than it looks..
NG4 looks great, expect a fun Action game that's far above average, but don't expect an authentic NG experience, you'll probably see more Revengeance in it than NG.
Dude you're wrong. The Wonderful 101 and Vanquish are up there as well. That said, the last game Platinum has released that had damn good gameplay was Bayonetta 2 way back in September of 2014, about 10.5 years ago. Nearly everything else they've made has pretty much used Bayo 2's combat system as a base, but simplified and with some gimmicks to differentiate it a bit. Except for that cop game, but that game is mechanically pretty rough.
You say I'm wrong, but you didn't really say anything that different from my opinion. I keep overlooking wonderful 101 because I've never played it, but people do keep bringing it up as one of the good ones. Vanquish is great, certainly the best 3rd person shooter I've played but it's not strictly an action game in the same sense, even though it borrows elements from them to make the game play actually interesting.
