I agree. UE5 is not made for games like this. It shouldn't be that GPU / CPU heavy. Most UE5 cames like run crap on my PC, but every other modern game which uses a different engine runs totally fine.

That only happens on the Windows Store/Game Pass version. It works here on Steam.
I'm using Game pass and have frame generation option along with tsr or fsr3

I have a 2550x1440 144hz HDR monitor on a 5900x (5.15ghz, tuned PBO + Curve Optimizer), 2x16GB DDR4 3600 C16 Dual Rank tuned timings/sub-timings with an RX 6700XT 12GB w/ SAM Enabled. Asus B550-F Gaming W-Fi II, Fuma 2 Rev B cooler. Using Xbone One Controller via USB. Game on 2TB Samsung 970 Plus M.2 NVME. Latest Windows 11, Chipset drivers, AMD drivers, etc.

Obviously not the best system around, but my point is, it's not old and it's due to the hardware or configuration. The game looks sweet. The gore can be repetitive, but looks good.

The issue with the Xbox Game Pass PC version is that FSR3 doesn't work. Frame gen doesn't work. TSR does work and looks fine. However FSR 3 upscaling does not work.

I platy in 2560x1440 more out of necessity. 1920x1080 looks bad on this 27" so upscaling is always more helpful than running 1920x1080 in games with ray tracing.

My largest gripe besides camera movements and.. is there actually no lockon freature?... is that frame gen doesn't work. SURE, to be fair I can disable ray tracing and get 80-100+ fps in areas, but it changes the way the game looks and I like putting a load on my hardware. But something is broken with it and FSR frame gen. FS3 Frame Gen doesn't work at all. FSR3 upscaling also doesn't work at all.

Then it's not worth buying.
Such a disappoitment: this is a fast action game
Top priority is for it to be responsive and not a laggy heavy mess before being pretty.
When will they stop trying to sell games for their graphics over fluidity.

Man it does not sound good for NG4.
Why would this have any impact on NG4? PlatinumGames is handling that and they tend to deliver more often than not, especially with this type of game. I doubt they had anything to do with NG2 Black.

There is no manual lock-on capability.

Platinum is somewhat overrated. The only mechanically impressive games they've made in their entire existence are the Bayonetta games, And even then, they have never been able to top what Capcom is able to do at their best (DMC5 for example). MGR is cool and all, but at it's core that game is very much style over substance when it comes to game mechanics and the combat is far more simplistic than it looks..

NG4 looks great, expect a fun Action game that's far above average, but don't expect an authentic NG experience, you'll probably see more Revengeance in it than NG.

I did not clic with the MGR gameplay, it was not intuitive to me did not understand, but I need to give it an other change.

Dude you're wrong. The Wonderful 101 and Vanquish are up there as well. That said, the last game Platinum has released that had damn good gameplay was Bayonetta 2 way back in September of 2014, about 10.5 years ago. Nearly everything else they've made has pretty much used Bayo 2's combat system as a base, but simplified and with some gimmicks to differentiate it a bit. Except for that cop game, but that game is mechanically pretty rough.

You say I'm wrong, but you didn't really say anything that different from my opinion. I keep overlooking wonderful 101 because I've never played it, but people do keep bringing it up as one of the good ones. Vanquish is great, certainly the best 3rd person shooter I've played but it's not strictly an action game in the same sense, even though it borrows elements from them to make the game play actually interesting.
I have to say iam loving this game it just needed a new game plus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bayonetta is mechanically superior to DMC5 in almost every way. DMC5 actually shipped with V too, one of the worst designed action game characters ever.

Astral Chain was really held back by the switch. If it got a PC port, it would be great, but the 30 fps really hurts it. Maybe it's able to be emulated at 60 fps no problems now.
