Watch, NG2 Purists Will HATE This.

I have seen enough discourse to know the Ninja Gaiden community will have those that will always be looking for reasons hate a new iteration of a game, unless maybe Itagaki personally praises it.

I mean "purists" is self explainatory, isnt it?

If game will feel different and will have some significant gameplay changes due to completly different engine then its obvious that fans of original game might not like it.

Theres always Xenia for OG experience on PC so thank god for that.

im an NG2 ''purist'' as you may say and I assure you, i am stoked to play this game even if it is not that similar to the original. this is the first ninja gaiden game in a decade. we needed this.

Sigma 2 had its problems. It wasn't just that it wasn't an Itagaki game that many people disliked.

If this version combined the fun of the original with the fun of Sigma 2, even "purists" would enjoy it.

Ideally for me, this will hopefully be more close to the X360 version in terms of balancing health and enemy quantity. I did not like Sigma as much outside of the extra content.
From what I see, they already have gore and dismemberment so that's a plus. They have the extra content from Sigma, which is good. I'm hoping this is like a best of both worlds version. X360 version + the extra content of Sigma.
That said, I'm no purist. I just wanna play cool, fun, badass, and skillful hack and slash games.

isnt it essentially just NG2 but unreal engine with some of the added sigma stuff? core game seems to be just a remade version of the 360 game

I mean yeah that kind of turbo tism is weird indeed. Vanilla NG2 and GodHand are my favourite video games ever and I didnt mind Sigma 2 overall but I dislike playing as those characters personally.

More content for others and doesn't take anything from Ryu, I personally just wish I could skip their levels during story though.

Yeah same Koei does my region without lube ,its 60$ here for some reason.

I will do another replay on Xenia then check it out too its fully playable just get a patch for Chapter 12 crash and you're good to go it doesn't require good hardware to keep 60 there too.

as long as they didnt remove weapons like hayashi version. windmill, emmas fang, incendianry shurkens,. etc. hayashi butchered itagakis version.

I mean it literally has all the good ol fashion gore the og had and the removal of that was the whole entire reason people hated sigma with a passion. It was a weak trash attempt to fix performance.

Its not just gore there is massive enemy reducement in Sigma. If that is the case here the game sucks, sorry to say.

Sigma 2 plays a lot differently,its not just about gore.

Enemy AI is less aggro overall regardless of difficulty,enemy placement is different,upgrade system is completly different and there are less enemies on screen at same time and a lot more tisms when it comes to gameplay tech itself.
