Is this port shoddy ?
For real, I like to know if this game runs beyond 60fps, nd if it suffers from stuttter nd input lag ?

can someone please provide an analysis. I ask this because I see often horrible pc ports from small nd big devs, so Im concerned.

I mean the fact this games also requires 85gb screams big red flag, but I like to stay positive, cuz this my favourie Franchise besides MGS.

Unreal Engine 5, avoid unless you hear different

I am waiting for that.
Unless it is Linux where you can get the shaders, it is not a good idea going blindy

It feels a lot better than most UE5 games, but you'll need some horsepower. Leave raytracing off, framegen off, swap out the dlss file with the new transformer based one and set it one tier below what you normally run (for both better performance and, especially in this game, HUGELY better quality). Turn sharpening down, CA off, vignette off.

Done. Should be able to maintain 60+ with a 4070 or so.

Just refunded absolute horrible performance and insane input lag even with reflex.
Controls are currently bugged regardless of settings. Dashing while blocking will inexplicably fail depending on previous analog input, and adjusting to this is incredibly unfun. It needs fixing ASAP. Performance is shoddy, even on a 7800X3D and 4080 at 1080p high (not ultra), I can't sustain a constant 120fps.

Post specs
Yes. Anything with UE5 is basically a shoddy port at this point. Requires the crutch of frame gen and DLSS/FSR to even get stable frames with a 4090

Glad it was on game pass and feel sorry for anyone buying this slop
3070 msi gaming laptop runs good for me,
I'm going to be honest, was not really feeling it. I'm still rocking a 2080 and spent a good 40 minutes fiddling around with the settings and could not get it at a frame rate I felt comfortable with, I don't know if I did something wrong but I was also really struggling with this game's input.

It felt like the bad guys always had the drop on me and there was an almost full second delay between when I hit the button and the attack finally came out. I gave up after the 2nd level and ended up refunding it.

Yes my 4090 can barely handle it at max settings and it's clearly an issue with unreal 5 and not my pc
GamerXT Jan 24 @ 10:27pm
I doubt a 4090 can "barely handle it", presuming you're actually using a 4090.

Yeah, it's Unreal Engine on PC in a game where you can die very quickly. No room for crap performance or stutterfests.

It's why I bought it on my PS5.
Freakshow Jan 24 @ 10:52pm
(EDIT: Not sure what you guys are talking about stuttering and stuff. I haven't encountered a SINGLE hitch or stutter. Not even a "well, i won't count that one" kind of thing. It's been 100% smooth for me. Maybe you don't have enough RAM or vRAM. I'm using a total system RAM usage of around 17.5GB RAM, btw, and I know most people have 8GB VRAM GPUs with 16GB RAM. And please, don't come back at me with your made up specs. No, it's 100% statistically impossible for all of you to have 32GB RAM and a 4090/3090/3080Ti. The Steam Hardware Survey says most of you are running 16GB RAM and AT BEST a 3060 or 1660Ti)

My 30-45 minute experience on the GAME PASS version:
Graphics are.. okay. I never would have guessed it was a remake until I read about it in these Steam forums. At the same time, it's nothing mind blowing.

It has ray tracing. I'd need to compare side by side/on vs off to see what it's doing, i.e., reflections, shadows, ambient occlusion, or a mix or all of them.

5900x + 6700XT + 32GB DDR4 3600 C16 to keep my rig specs short.

I game at 2560x1440 all settings maxed. Note that Frame Gen does NOT work.

With ray tracing on, I get around 39-45 fps. Something like that. With ray tracing off, I was getting like 100-115+fps, I believe.

That was with FSR3 Native enabled. BTW, I don't even think FSR upscaling works, either lol.

Again, graphically, I think it looks OKAY considering the art style of games like this. Lots of gore, but not on the level of Doom gore, just a nice amount of blood splatter, arms being cut off, etc.

Oh, I have this game on my 2TB M.2 NVME Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Loads extremely fast. I've not experienced a single hitch or stutter at all. Not a single time.

I'm early in the game so I'm not sure how difficult the controls and combos become, but so far, it's how I like it. It's a great slash and dash game FOR ME because I'm a first person shooter at heart. I don't really enjoy games that have inventories full of 83 different items that you need to use this and this and that to defeat this boss. If it turns into that, either it will have taught me well enough to have learned how to do it all or I'll just fail miserably and delete it.

So, yeah, no ray tracing performance is stellar. That's 1440p/all maxed out graphics/over 100fps/no upscaling or frame gen (since they don't work). But ray tracing drops me down into that 39fps range.

Again, this is on the Xbox Game Pass version. All it needs is frame gen to work and I could use FSR3 Native + frame gen and get 80 or so fps. I am a keyboard and mouse guy, but I gave this game a shot with a controller. Seemed like it was designed to be used with a controller.

For whatever reason, I'm liking it. The graphics, the moderately quick progression with weapons, the tutorial, enemies, etc.

I don't buy games like this, however, since it's free on Game Pass (which is also free if you do Microsoft Rewards lol), what can I say? I'm surprisingly enjoying it.

It's not that it's super hard (I have it on a lower difficulty, anyways), but I'm HOPING I can master the moves better and better and raise the difficulty and have even more fun.

Just not sure why upscaling doesn't seem to be working and frame gen isn't working at all.

Something is broken with DLSS, I was dropping sub 60 FPS with DLSS turned on and it had ugly artifacts. While 4k native gets 90 FPS on my 4090
