FSR 4 works with Optiscaler

For anyone with an 9070 XT/non-xt GPU, you can get FSR 4 to work in NG2B which reduces a lot of the ghosting and artifacting from using frame gen.

Also, quality mode (and even balanced) looks as good as native with FSR 4 compared to the somewhat blurry implementation of 3.1 for this game.

You can download optiscaler and follow the instructions of how to install and use.

You need to drag the optiscaler files to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NINJAGAIDEN2BLACK\NINJAGAIDEN2BLACK\Binaries\Win64"

I have the game pass version and get a fatal error when booting. Do you know why?

I dont think you need optiscaler, you should be able to driver overwrite it. I don't have a 9070 but I read everywhere all FSR 3.1 support games should work with driver overwrite.

All FSR 3.1 games should be able to run FSR 4 but not all have it available since AMD has to go through a whitelist process to enable it via the driver. For NG2B is not available yet but you can force it with mods like Optiscaler

Oltiscaler works with Final Fantasy 7rebirth, but Not with NG2Black. Very Strange.
